Altar Frontal Panel with Annunciation Italy (or Spain ). 16th century. Gold and silk embroidery on silk velvet.   21½"x 34." Linen panel mount: 26"x 38." This remarkable Italian Renaissance panel is a very heavily worked three-dimensional piece. Unfortunately metallic reflections cause the  details of the gold couched embroidery to not show up well in photos.
