British Maritime Embroidery Late 19th century (?) Silk embroidery and gold couching. Framed size: 24½"x 22." This piece, with its naive rendition of the Commonwealth Coat of Arms features British maritime flags and sailing ships. The White Ensign (on the left) became the sole ensign of the Royal Navy in 1864.
