Kyrgyz Embroidery Kyrgyzstan.  Late 19th century Wool, with silk chain-stitch embroidery. 31"x 33."  This is one of the loveliest Kyrgyz embroideries I have seen.  It has several small frayed areas, mainly in the red wool ground.  I decided to leave the piece untouched, as these small holes are not readily apparent because of a red cotton lining behind the center section.  $645  E-7287  Larger full view photo               Large detail photo
