In addition to their well-known knotted-pile rugs and bags, Central Asian Turkmen and non-Turkmen peoples made an interesting assortment of embroidered, brocaded, and woven items. Costumes  were ornamented lavishly. Below are a few unusual pieces from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Krygyzstan.  New suzanis from Uzbekistan are included.
